Job summary

Clean Harbors in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate preventive maintenance for our diesel repair team. You will schedule work orders, track parts, and communicate with technicians and customers to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in maintenance planning, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel/Project. Occasional travel up to 10% and a path for career advancement.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years in Maintenance Planning or similar with Heavy Duty Vehicles.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication across all levels and functions of the organization.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply technical information from manuals, drawings and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize operational profit through effective planned maintenance.
  • Accountable for daily preparation of work orders.
  • Make parts availability inquiries to vendors and internal procurement team.
  • Evaluate internal and vendor estimates.
  • Schedule maintenance for multiple shops considering manpower and space to minimize delays and maximize asset availability.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.

Clean Harbors is looking for a Maintenance Planner to be located out of Baltimore, MD. We’re seeking a motivatedindividual to join our growing diesel repair team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands diesel equipment and can bridge the gap between customers and technicians.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a Maintenance Planning or similar role with Heavy Duty Vehicles
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate verbally all levels and functions of the organization individually and as a team
  • The ability to read, understand and apply technical information from manuals, books, drawings and diagrams is required
  • Proficiency in computer usage is required, including the ability to use the Microsoft Suite to create tables, track data, utilize Microsoft Excel and Project
  • Ability to stoop, stand for long periods, work at heights, feel with hands, reach and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time as needed.
