Job summary

WITRON Group in Tracy, CA seeks a Maintenance Planner to coordinate resources, manage scheduled maintenance, and improve efficiency across the site. The role emphasizes safety-first operations, OSHA compliance, and strong collaboration with operations and SPC.

Experience in manufacturing environments and knowledge of automated systems are preferred. The position requires hands-on planning, part inventory oversight, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1-3 years’ experience as a planner, lead or supervisor in a maintenance department.
• Preferred: Associates degree with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing or material handling systems strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote compliance with all relevant company policies and government regulations including OSHA
• Maximize operating effectiveness using planned maintenance through generated work orders
• Prepare planned work in advance with SPC coordination and maintenance manager
• Work to optimize maintenance schedules with task lists and frequency
• Generate a weekly shift-based schedule to meet resource allocation goals and 80% completion rate
• Collaborate with CI, safety committee and leaders to plan and enable improvement projects
• Maintain open relationships with customers and vendors to support maintenance team
• Review parts usage and inventory, identify improvements and manage warranty claims with SPC
• Serve as a resource to SPC for inventory activities
• Manage internal repair shop processes and assist SPC with external shop repairs
• Follow escalation guidelines during downtime or irregular operations
• Participate and lead team/site meetings to ensure effective communication toward production goals
