Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a maintenance/engineering professional to develop reliability-centered maintenance activities for expansion projects or to improve efficiency in an operating area. You will plan and coordinate maintenance work to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration with logistics, operations, and the reliability team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in maintenance/engineering field or equivalent military/industrial training.
• Preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledgeable in HVAC, aseptic processes, automated systems, or related utilities.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems preferred.
• Excellent maintenance craft skills preferred.
• Lean/reliability excellence fundamentals preferred.
• SAP & Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SAP master data and maintenance plans for assigned processes.
• Prepare PM work packages for maintenance technicians with required documents, parts, and tools.
• Process confirmation of preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Schedule planned maintenance activities with logistics and operations.
• Evaluate effectiveness of preventive maintenance tasks and frequencies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance tactics and strategies.
• Participate in work order reviews to identify recurring failures.
• Support reliability team responses and document problems for quick resolution.
