Job summary

DreamPak in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Planner to plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. You will work closely with maintenance technicians, production teams and management to ensure tasks are prioritized, documented, and executed safely and effectively.

The role requires strong knowledge of TPM practices, CMMS usage, and the ability to analyze maintenance data to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
• Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience using CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facility systems.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance work orders, labor requirements, tools, parts, and materials needed for repairs and projects.
• Prioritize maintenance activities based on production needs, equipment criticality, and safety requirements.
• Review maintenance requests and create detailed job plans and instructions for technicians.
• Maintain accurate records within the CMMS.
• Track equipment history, downtime trends, and maintenance performance metrics.
• Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure availability of spare parts and supplies.
• Monitor completion of work orders and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding repairs.
• Assist in developing predictive and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies, GMPs, SQF standards, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for equipment failures.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
• Generate reports related to maintenance performance, downtime, labor utilization, and PM compliance.
