Job summary

MacLean Power Systems in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for production and facility equipment. You will coordinate with maintenance technicians, production supervision, engineering, and purchasing to ensure work is planned, resourced, and completed safely.

In a utility hardware manufacturing environment, you will manage CMMS data, create detailed work orders, schedule downtime, monitor backlog, and support reliability

Qualifications

• Associate degree or relevant technical training in maintenance planning or engineering tech.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years in maintenance planning/scheduling in manufacturing.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM, IBM Maximo, JDE, Maintenance Connection).
• Knowledge of CNC, presses, welding, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and compressors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance for production and facility equipment.
• Create detailed work orders with labor, parts, tools, permits, safety procedures, and estimates.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize downtime.
• Maintain CMMS data by creating/updating/closing work orders.
• Review equipment history to identify recurring failures and drive reliability improvements.
• Plan shutdowns and major equipment overhauls.
• Ensure spare parts and tools are available before work begins.
