Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and issue short- and long-term maintenance plans for A220 and A320 aircraft via the Trax Work Order process
  • Build and maintain daily, weekly maintenance input schedules aligned with operational demands
  • Identify and manage critical path activities to ensure on-time maintenance execution
  • Coordinate aircraft routing and maintenance timing to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime
  • Create and manage work orders and task cards in TRAX M&E
  • Research and interpret MPDs, AMMs, IPCs, ADs, SBs, and SLs to define accurate work scopes
  • Develop complete maintenance work packages including labor estimates, material requirements, tooling and access needs
  • Ensure timely closure of work orders and maintenance records
  • Utilize TRAX for maintenance forecasting, scheduling, work order management and compliance tracking
  • Maintain data accuracy and system integrity within TRAX M&E
  • Drive improvements in system usage and planning efficiency
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance teams for parts, tools, and labor availability
  • Monitor maintenance backlog and scheduling priorities
  • Anticipate risks and resolve constraints in materials and labor as needed
  • Work with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Flight Operations, and OCC; participate in daily ops and reliability reviews

We are seeking a highly driven Aircraft Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to support our Airbus A220 and A320 fleet in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance operations through detailed planning, disciplined execution, and strong cross-functional coordination.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in airline maintenance operations, is highly proficient in TRAX Maintenance & Engineering (M&E), and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accountability and ownership are essential.

What You’ll Do
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop, manage, and issue short- and long-term maintenance plans for A220 and A320 aircraft via the Trax Work Order process.
  • Build and maintain daily, weekly, and maintenance input schedules aligned with operational demands for line and based maintenance operations.
  • Identify and manage critical path activities to ensure on-time maintenance execution.
  • Coordinate aircraft routing and maintenance timing to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime.
Work Package Development & Execution
  • Create and manage work orders and task cards in TRAX M&E.
  • Research and interpret MPDs, AMMs, IPCs, ADs, SBs, and SLs to define accurate work scopes.
  • Develop complete maintenance work packages, including Labor estimates, Material requirements, Tooling and access needs
  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of work orders and maintenance records.
TRAX M&E System Ownership
  • Utilize TRAX for Maintenance forecasting and scheduling, Work order management, and Compliance tracking
  • Maintain data accuracy and system integrity, including task intervals and aircraft configurations.
  • Drive improvements in system usage and planning efficiency.
Materials & Resource Coordination
  • Partners with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to ensure parts, tools, and labor are available.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance backlog and scheduling priorities.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively resolve constraints (material shortages, labor conflicts, etc.).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Flight Operations, and Operations Control Center (OCC)
  • Participate in planning and operational meetings (daily ops, pre-input, post-input, reliability reviews).
  • Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and execution across all stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a focus on planning, scheduling, or maintenance operations.
  • Experience in a Part 121 airline environment.
  • Direct hands-on experience with TRAX M&E system (required).
  • Strong understanding of Airbus SA maintenance programs
  • Aircraft technical documentation and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to estimate labor, materials, and task durations accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Heavy maintenance planning, data analysis, and Trax & Airbus tools
  • Project management experience or certification
