Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a seasoned Planner to plan maintenance jobs, enter job plans and material requisitions in SAP, and support maintenance processes with SAP work order management. You will conduct field walks, generate detailed job plans with resources, durations, and equipment needs.

Job description

Summary: Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling. Coordinates with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply. Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion. Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

Planner: Your primary role will be planning maintenance jobs and entering job plans/material requisitions in SAP, assisting maintenance process utilizing SAP work order management, performing field walks, generating detailed job plan with required resources, duration, MTR's, sub-contractor and equipment needs. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Review of SAP Backlog Daily / Weekly
• Receiving new work order request (in SAP)
• Planning those requests, identifying the work by Fields walks, job plans, field tags, generating crafts / sub-contractors and necessary rolling stock (cranes, air compressor, welding machines, etc.), Acquiring necessary drawings, specs, etc.
• Generate, print out and distribute above documentation to the execution team in a well organized job package.
• Assist with break in / emergency work requests throughout the week.
• Turning work order request in SAP work orders, and updating proper status as it progresses.
• Attending weekly scheduling meetings to review SAP backlog, completed work, unfinished work, new work.
• Align with maintenance execution supervisor and process operations concerning future SAP scheduled work to assure it can be resource loaded and permitted.
• Schedule jobs in SAP up to the allotted available work force when ready and has operations availability.
• Close work orders.

• 7 + plus years in an industrial setting and 3+ years of experience in a maintenance planning role is required. Must have previous SAP planning experience and been involved with the establishment of the process utilizing SAP.
• Must have current working knowledge of SAP Work request generation, approvals, to generation of Work Orders, standard job plans, the implementation and management of generated Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders.
• Must respond to and accommodate weekly emergency / break in work as it comes up and be able to generate BOM's and track PO's. Must be able to walk out jobs and have a good understanding of various crafts, materials needed, and timing to complete various jobs.
