Roseburg Forest Products is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support reliability for a manufacturing operation in Medford, OR. You will plan, requisition materials, and coordinate future maintenance projects while ensuring safety and efficiency across the plant.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, strong problem solving, and proficiency with CMMS and blueprint reading. This full-time role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment as a Millwright, Electrician, or equivalent
• Understand safety policies; read blueprints and some drafting
• Proficient with PC tools such as Word, Excel and maintenance systems
• Strong problem solving, independent work ability, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance schedules in CMMS
• Collaborate with departments to translate requirements into actionable plans
• Plan and prioritize maintenance work with purchasing and production
• Prepare job plans with safety instructions and precautions
• Attend daily and weekly planning meetings and track work orders
• Coordinate parts availability and maintain maintenance records
• Monitor crew resources and align maintenance with production needs
• Use PDM results to plan required maintenance and uphold core values

Purpose

Support maintenance and reliability for a manufacturing operation. Responsible for the planning, requisitioning of materials and services and coordination of future maintenance plans and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain solid fundamental preventative and predictive schedules in the CMMS
• Collaborate with all departments to translate work requirements into clear achievable plans
• Work directly with maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work
• Plans maintenance tasks as well as shutdowns and other project work
• Follows the planning process as outlined in the Reliability Playbook
• Prepares job plans for maintenance work in the mill, with safety instructions and special precautions
• Attend the Daily approval meeting and the weekly partner meeting
• Coordinates with purchasing to ensure parts availability
• Maintains maintenance and equipment records and generates reports; i.e. open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis, etc
• Tracks availability of crew resources
• Coordinates and prioritizes planning and maintenance work with production requirements
• Coordinate the PDM results, use results for planning of required maintenance
• Models company core values

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a Millwright, Electrician, or other equivalent technical trade
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated understanding of company safety policies and expectations
• Ability to read blueprints and some drafting
• PC operation and experience (Word, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to make decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
• Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
• Willing to work anytime as required to meet mill needs including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary
• Must be willing to attend additional training with passing grades as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates’ degree in business, manufacturing, production or related field
• Maintenance background in both electrical and mechanical trades
• Previous experience with CMMS systems (currently EAM)
