Job summary

Prysmian Group in McKinney, TX is seeking a Maintenance Planner to lead preventive and predictive maintenance planning. You will coordinate scheduling with maintenance and operations to boost equipment uptime and reduce costs. Strong CMMS experience and a hands-on approach are essential.

  • Review equipment documentation to develop and update SOPs and maintenance jobs.

The Maintenance Planneris a keymember of theMaintenance Support teamresponsible for maintaining, improving, and standardizingmaintenance proceduresthat drive equipmentreliabilityand operational efficiency. This role leadsthe planning, scheduling, and coordination ofpreventive and predictivemaintenance activitieswhile continuously evaluatingand enhancing maintenanceprocesses, documentation, and controls. Thesuccessful candidate willwork closely withMaintenance and Operationsteams to optimizeworkforce productivity,reduce maintenance costs, improve equipment uptime, and ensure maintenanceprocedures are accurate, consistent, and alignedwith best practices. Strong CMMS experience, analytical problem-solvingskills, and ahands-on approachare essential.

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, review, andcontinuously improve preventiveand predictive maintenanceprocedures to ensureconsistency, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Reliabilityteams to identifyprocess improvements andimplement standardizedmaintenance practices.
  • Review equipment documentation, including manuals, drawings, and technical specifications, to develop, update, and improvepreventive maintenanceprocedures, standard operatingprocedures (SOPs), andplanned maintenance jobs.
  • Develop, maintain, andoptimize the preventivemaintenance program tosupport reliability andcontinuous improvementinitiatives.
  • Plan, prioritize, andschedule preventive andpredictive maintenanceactivities to maximizelabor utilization whileminimizing equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate andmaintain parts kittingprocesses to ensuremaintenance personnel havethe necessary materialsavailable prior toscheduled work.
  • Conduct weekly maintenancetool room auditsto ensure organization, inventory accuracy, andcompliance with maintenancestandards.
  • Monitor maintenance planningmetrics and recommendprocedural improvementsthat increase efficiency, reduce costs, andsupport long-termequipmentperformance.
  • Support continuous improvementinitiatives by identifyingopportunities to streamlinemaintenance workflows andenhance overall maintenanceeffectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years ofrecent experience withMicrosoft Office,including Excel and/or Smartsheet.
  • 1–3 yearsof maintenance planningand scheduling experience.
  • Experience working inan industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ComputerizedMaintenance ManagementSystems (CMMS).
  • Electrical and/ormechanical aptitude.
  • Associate degree ina technical field, or 4+ yearsof experience asa machine repairtechnician, oran equivalent combinationof education andexperience.
  • Experience using HTML.
  • Self-motivated withthe ability towork independently anddrivecontinuous process improvementswith minimal supervision.
