Job summary

Cavendish Farms in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize work orders, manage BOMs, and support maintenance supervisors with scheduling.

You will create and close work orders in the E1 system, coordinate preventive maintenance, plan parts and tools, and assist the Reliability Engineer as needed. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to handle major shutdowns efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post Secondary or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and close work orders in the E1 system.
• Apply best practices in maintenance planning to optimize workforce use.
• Manage preventative maintenance and employee schedules; develop new preventive maintenance.
• Plan work and document work orders with proper codes; identify and secure spare parts and tools.
• Coordinate major shutdowns; track details including PM information, WO details, and contracted work.
• Perform backlog checks to identify outstanding work orders.
• Ensure critical parts have stock codes and are added to BOM.
• Assist Reliability Engineer with component research, root cause analysis, and mentorship.

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning work orders that requires parts and/or labor, in addition to managing BOMS, and assisting maintenance supervisors with work order scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Using E1 database system, create and close work orders.
• Apply best practices in maintenance planning processes to optimize the use of the work force
• Manage preventative maintenance and employee schedules: Develop new preventive maintenance, resolve schedule issues, record, and track all preventative maintenance details.
• Plan the work and document the work orders so that the work description and proper codes are completed: Identify, order, and make available spare parts and tools required for the job.
• Managing major shut down work. Coordinating and tracking all details including preventative maintenance information, work order details, contracted work, estimated employee hours, etc.
• Completing Backlog checks in order to identify outstanding work orders.
• Ensuring that critical and essential parts have a stock code and added to the BOM
• Assist Reliability Engineer as needed: Component research, Root Cause Analysis, Maintenance Staff Mentorship, etc.
