Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Planner for a local client in Glen Rock, PA.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and manage the Maintenance Parts Inventory to ensure essential parts are always available.
- Reorder parts as necessary to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, for both parts and services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify suitable replacements for obsolete or discontinued parts.
- Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Update and manage the CMMS with accurate parts information, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, costs and locations.
- Organize and maintain the parts storage area, ensuring easy access and proper storage of items.
- Track the usage of parts and materials, reporting any trends or issues to the Director of Facilities and Engineering.
- Review and compile work orders, PM tasks, and submittals from mechanics.
- Create, update, and revise work instructions and PM documents.
- Handle other maintenance-related documentation as directed by the Director of Facilities and Engineering
- Enter, update, and close work orders in CMMS, prioritizing based on operational needs.
- Create and analyze KPI reports from CMMS data to track maintenance performance.
- Ensure CMMS data accuracy, audit regularly, and ensure good documentation practices.
- Generate reports on work order completion, PM performance, and equipment downtime.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as a backup technician as required
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or CMMS-related roles.
- 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician
- Proficiency with CMMS software (e.g. Blue Mountain, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with maintenance management processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to source suppliers and evaluate product offerings.
- Excellent communication skills for working with vendors, maintenance teams, and internal departments.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. Must communicate fluently in English and have legible handwriting
- Ability to fabricate and modify parts is preferred
