HMSHost in Las Vegas Airport F&B is hiring a Maintenance Person III to perform complex maintenance, repairs, and installation of equipment and, where applicable, physical structures. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires ensuring safety and compliance with health and safety guidelines.

You will diagnose issues, coordinate repairs within budget, maintain preventive maintenance records, and support basic landscaping or related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; up to 3 years related post-high school experience preferred.
• Requires and/or willing to obtain OSHA-10 certification for Construction and General Industries.
• May require driver’s license, clean driving record, and HMSHost MVR background check.
• Liquor license or food handlers permit may be required depending on location.
• Requires operation of heavy equipment or vehicles; lifting/pushing >50 lbs; possible climbing.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs within guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry systems and small appliances.
• Ensures facilities and equipment are safe and compliant with regulations.
• Coordinates repairs within approved budget and maintains PM schedules.
• Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable; adheres to OSHA rules.
• Performs heavy lifting or moving of heavy equipment as required.

Summary

The Maintenance Person III is responsible for performing more complex maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and (if applicable) physical structures and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management. This position typically reports to a Maintenance Manager, depending on local requirements.

Essential Functions

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs (within guidelines of expertise and in conjunction with local-state-federal health and safety guidelines)
• Maintains small appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
• Ensures the physical structure and equipment are in safe operating condition as per regulations issued by local-state-federal health and safety authorities
• Coordinates repairs within approved budgetary guidelines
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and records for all systems and equipment
• Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable
• Adheres to all OSHA regulations
• Performs heavy lifting or moving of heavy equipment as required

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; up to 3 years equivalent experience post-high school specialized trade or technical school preferred
• Requires and/or willing to obtain OSHA-10 certification for Construction and General Industries
• May require specific driver’s license based on state requirements, a clean driving record and the ability to pass HMSHost MVR Background check
• Liquor license or food handlers permit may be required depending on location
• Requires operation of heavy equipment or vehicles
• Must perform lifting/pushing of objects weighing over 50 lbs
• May require climbing or working in awkward or cramped positions
