Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance team member to keep our communities clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, guests, and staff. You will join a caring team dedicated to person-centered care and high-quality service in a supportive environment.

Pay starts at $13.00 per hour and increases with experience. Part-time with Saturday and holiday rotation, plus a robust benefits package and DailyPay access to earned wages.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous housekeeping and/or Laundry experience in long term care preferred; positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, and other areas as scheduled.
• Maintains floors by sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping as required.
• Empties trash and transports waste to proper area.
• Reports maintenance concerns to supervisor and supports safety practices.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and staff.
• Follows policies to ensure quality resident care.

Pay

Pay: Starting at $13.00/hr, increases with experience

Positions

Part Time and Saturday rotation (about once a month) and on holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles and transports trash to proper area
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality
