Job summary

City Mission Living-stones Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to handle general property upkeep for shelters and apartments. Tasks include HVAC, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and turning units for occupancy to ensure safe, livable spaces.

Job description

PURPOSE: Responsible for the general property maintenance of City Mission properties to include shelters and apartments. Experience with HVAC, painting, plumbing and electrical needed. Ability to turn an apartment for occupancy. This is a part time weekend position with 16 - 20 hours available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB DUTIES

• Troubleshooting: Work with Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and carry out repairs and maintenance for City Mission’s apartments as well as troubleshoot and carry out maintenance concerns at Agency program buildings.
• Facilities as needed: Maintain building grounds , when necessary, to include snow removal while adhering to all necessary safety precautions.
• Janitorial Duties as needed: When necessary, responsible for cleaning interior building community spaces including lounge areas, bathrooms, floors and carpets, offices, stairs, walkways and elevators, laundry areas, etc.

MAINTANCE JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• DRIVER'S LICENSE
• EDUCATION/KNOWLDEGE/JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Specific Education, Certification, and/or Licensure: High School Diploma/GED required. Ability to work independently. Advanced knowledge of and practical skills in building maintenance.
• ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Four-five years’ experience with maintenance of apartments, and other buildings.
• PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Four-five years of work experience as maintenance staff in similar work environment.
