Job Overview
Maintenance Ops Specialist – Full time, Day shift – Roanoke, VA. Supports regulatory compliance, workflow functions, and operational support for the Maintenance department.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliance, reporting, traffic flow, and quality functions.
- Interpret codes, regulations, guidelines, and document retention requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, scheduling, contract review, and legal coordination.
- Maintain the Meditract database and generate required reports.
- Partner with management to create and revise department policies.
- Oversee employee competency and training schedules.
- Ensure efficient traffic flow of departmental projects.
- Lead quality control inspections and serve as the primary customer contact for troubleshooting.
- Facilitate project team work to improve workflow processing times.
- Develop, update, and maintain a searchable Access database for all files and binders.
- Maintain and procure departmental budgeting, billing, and utility documentation.
- Create job aids and master monthly reports for the department.
- Keep department Kronos records current and accurate.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required.
- Three years of business, healthcare, or maintenance experience required.
- Experience with compliance highly desirable.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems preferred.
- CAD experience preferred.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license required.
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and meet multiple deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and database application experience.
- Must provide own transportation and be willing to travel to other Carilion sites.
Compensation
$20.10 – $28.14 per hour. Pay is based on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior experience. Range does not include benefits or pension plan.
