Job summary

Pentair in North Aurora, IL is hiring a Maintenance Operator for the 2nd shift to service CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, and facility equipment. You will develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC issues from prints and schematics.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, experience with CMMS, and the ability to manage parts inventory.

Qualifications

• CNC repair knowledge is REQUIRED.
• Ability to diagnose and fix CNC mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and control issues.
• Experience with preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical prints/schematics.
• Experience identifying failure causes and recommending improvements
• Experience managing work orders, PMs, and parts inventory (CMMS).
• Experience with equipment – CNC, injection molding, fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, HVAC, and facility systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC problems on machinery and equipment to determine repairs and replacement needs.
• Perform repairs and fabrications on CNC, injection molding, fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, HVAC and facility equipment.
• Determine root cause of maintenance issues and document improvements; Root Cause Analysis training is a plus.
• Work from prints, schematics, drawings and sketches (electrical, hydraulic, air, plumbing, structural).
• Work with CMMS system to manage maintenance work orders, PMs, and parts inventory.

Maintenance Operator, 2nd Shift – North Aurora, IL

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Operator to join our North Aurora, IL team. You will develop and execute Machine Preventative Maintenance Schedules including predictive maintenance on all types of CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, Testing, HVAC, and Facility equipment.

You Will

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC problems on machinery and equipment to determine the extent and method of repairs and/or replacement of worn or defective parts. Establish and document a troubleshooting process based on findings.
• Perform a wide variety of repairs and/or fabrications on various machines and production equipment such as: CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, Testing, HVAC and Facility equipment.
• Determine root cause of maintenance issues. Suggest, execute and document necessary improvements. Root Cause Analysis training is a plus.
• Work from prints, schematics, drawings and sketches. Including electrical, hydraulic, air, plumbing and structural.
• Work with CMMS system to manage Maintenance work order requests, PM’s and order replacement parts and materials to maintain inventory.

Key Qualifications

• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Compensation

• The hourly pay for this role is $35.07/hour, plus $0.45 shift differential while working on 2nd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Shift

• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday
• Training on 1st shift for 4 – 6 months (7:00am – 3:00pm)
• Overtime as needed.
