ISS Facility Services / Guckenheimer in Colorado Springs is seeking a Facility Technician to operate, replace, repair, and maintain general building infrastructure. The role includes responding to service calls, coordinating with management, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of work areas.

The candidate will read P&IDs and diagrams, troubleshoot building emergency and fire systems, and work with BAS to monitor and adjust control systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or greater is required.
• Two years of facility maintenance experience or Apprentice/Generalist level craftsman.
• Ability to read P&IDs, floor plans and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with building emergency/fire systems and BAS operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, replace, repair and maintain TS-related mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Respond to trouble calls; coordinate with operations for efficient uptime.
• Read drawings and diagrams; document inspections and actions taken.
• Oversee contractors and maintain safety, logs, and records.
• Maintain CMMS records and support administrative duties as required.

Work involves the lifting of heavy materials and apparatus, and may be performed in areas of extreme heat, cold, and/or noise. Receives and responds to service calls, takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns. Ensure preventive maintenance inspections are completed, and necessary repairs are always made. Ensures that the work area/plant is always clean, safe, and that managed/generated utilities meet delivery specifications. Oversees contractors, routine, and preventive maintenance work to ensure work is performed appropriately and in a safe manner. Communicates with ISS and Customer operations management teams, tenants/utility system end users, and Business Unit Stakeholders.
