Job summary

National Metalwares in Aurora, IL is seeking a Maintenance Operations Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department and Tool Room, directing installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.

You will inspect facilities, maximize reliability, coordinate with utilities and environmental agencies, ensure safe disposal, and manage projects to meet specifications. In-person position with standard benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper hazardous waste disposal and liaison with agencies.
  • Oversee construction and installation work to specs.
  • Coordinate space layouts and communications services.
  • Assist with facilities repairs as needed.

What You’ll Own


  • Lead, direct, and support maintenance personnel performing equipment installation, facilities repair, and preventive maintenance.

  • Perform regular plant inspections, assessing facility condition and the efficient use of space.

  • Establish and sustain a preventive maintenance program to maximize reliability.

  • Ensure compliant hazardous waste disposal; act as liaison with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.

  • Oversee construction and installation work for strict conformance to specifications; develop and coordinate specifications, proposals, contracts, and related documents.

  • Coordinate building space allocation, layouts, and communication services.

  • Assist with facilities equipment repair and PM activities as needed.

  • Supervise team members in the Maintenance Department and Tool Room.

  • Interview, hire, and train; plan, assign, and direct work.
