We are hiring on behalf of a client in the Columbus, Ohio area!
Please note: THIS POSITION IS WITH OUR CLIENT, NOT WITH OSORNO.
One of our clients is looking for an experiencedMaintenance Supervisorin the Columbus, Ohio area. At 50 hours/week, this position would oversee a team in their new $100 million manufacturing facility making disposable medical devices. The company is currently manufacturing million of units per month in their 530,000-square-foot facility on four state-of-the-art assembly lines.
Job Description
- Implement/manage manufacturing facility’s maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance, installation of guarding/safety features at our manufacturing facility
- Maximize reliability and efficiency of plant production equipment and auxiliary systems/equipment (chillers, compressors, HVAC, etc.)
- Direct, supervise, and develop maintenance personnel (maintenance technicians)
- Assist engineering in installation of new equipment and systems
- Manage maintenance budget to achieve facility’s financial goals
Key Responsibilities
- Develop/implement/supervise preventive maintenance program for plant production and facilities systems
- Direct/oversee repairs, upgrades, and installation of equipment and systems
- Determine root causes of equipment failure and develop processes to minimize downtime
- Research equipment and processes and make recommendations to meet future needs
- Plan out and schedule corrective work for the facility
- Ensure appropriate guarding/safety devices are present and operating properly; instruct employees in safe operation and maintenance procedures
- Manage projects and maintenance costs, including maintenance spending, labor and overtime
- Prioritize and direct activities and assignments of subordinate personnel
- Develop skills of maintenance personnel
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures regarding conduct, performance, safety/OSHA requirements, and compensation of employees
- Coordinate maintenance and installation activities with production scheduling
- Manage 24/7 team
- Ensure all maintenance team members are involved in daily reporting of tasks and follow ups
- Electrical and Mechanical experience, and preferred degree or relevant experience, minimum of 3 years in industrial maintenance
- Robust knowledge of manufacturing and facilities maintenance.
- Excellent Organizational Skills.
- Ability to work well with others, team build.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to read, understand, document, and maintain records as required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experienced in electrical troubleshooting
- Superior troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to supervise, manage, and develop maintenance technicians and staff
- Ability to interact positively with subordinates, peers, and superiors to meet operation’s goals and requirements
- Experience leading maintenance team
- Must be proficient in English. Bilingual candidates will also be considered.
Pay and Benefits
- Salary range $65k-$90k, based on experience
- Bonus potential, based on performance and company profitability
- 2 weeks vacation PTO (pro-rated for first year)
- 11 days additional PTO (includes holidays, birthday, wellness day)
- 401K available after 90 days (currently no match)

- Continuing education available on case-by-case basis
- Relocation compensation available on case-by-case basis
