The Role
An opportunity exists to join the Infinite team as a Maintenance Officer in a part-time or casual role, at our Chamberlain Gardens aged care facility in Wyoming near Gosford NSW. Chamberlain Gardens Aged Care Facility | Infinite Care (infin8care.com.au)
You will be working as part of a maintenance team that takes great pride in the work that they do to maintain the facility.
This vacancy is for 2 days per week, Thursdays & Fridays.
Day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake general day to day maintenance activities to a high standard in accordance with Infinite standards, plans and guidelines.
- Ensure all emergency, preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out in accordance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- When required oversee and coordinate any required contractors working on site.
- Ensure smooth day to day running of all maintenance requirements at the facility.
- Exceptional client service skills are important to ensure success in the role.
- Flexibility to undertake a wide scope of activities including but not limited to: landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs; painting and test and tagging.
About You
- Previous gardening and maintenance experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in aged care or similar facility would be highly desirable.
- You will need to be a self-starter with excellent time management skills which enable you to prioritise work schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and continuously improve maintenance operations.
- Work autonomously as well as a member of the team and have a strong customer service focus.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Professional, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
- Positive 'can do' attitude will ensure your success in this important role.
- Proactive and measured attitude to identifying & preventing safety hazards in the workplace.
- Adopt a safety-first approach to daily tasks and supporting colleagues at all times.
- Commitment to attend safety specific training and upskilling sessions paid by the company.
- Willingness to come up with safety ideas that improve awareness, hazard reduction and incident reporting.
- Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or apply via How to apply | NDIS).
