Job summary

Marquise is seeking a Maintenance Support Services Manager to oversee Maintenance, Nutrition Services, and Housekeeping in a retirement/long-term care setting. The role focuses on staff supervision, contract adherence, budgeting, and safety compliance.

The candidate will lead operational teams, manage scheduling and labor relations, and drive quality service delivery across multiple departments while coordinating with administration and care staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience in retirement/seniors living and/or long-term healthcare.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Maintenance, Nutrition Services and Housekeeping to meet contractual service levels.
• Manage staff scheduling, personnel files, hiring, training and discipline.
• Handle payroll, period summaries and sales reports with timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain budgets, inventory controls, and cost management.
• Coordinate building repairs, maintenance projects, inspections and contractor services.
• Implement and maintain a Food Safety Plan including HACCP and WHMIS.
• Provide staff training and in-services; lead regular team meetings.
• Ensure safety, regulatory documentation, and life-safety compliance.
