Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Maintenance Multi-Tech to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment, perform upgrades, and improve reliability. The role requires reading PLC programs, schematics, and wiring diagrams to identify root causes and implement fixes.

You will lead fellow technicians, maintain safety and GMP standards, and document actions thoroughly. Ideal candidates bring hands-on expertise with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvements

Qualifications

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Willingness to develop skills and pursue further education in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment using electrical/mechanical drawings and PLC logic.
• Lead and develop other team members to improve skills and performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with GMP requirements.
• Dismantle, repair, install, and upgrade equipment and systems as needed.
• Document work with detailed records and use the work order system.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify recurring issues for fixes.

Position Title: Maintenance Multi-Tech Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly

Summary: The primary function of a Maintenance Multi-Tech is to perform diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques on equipment and systems, perform upgrades and repairs to existing equipment and systems to improve the performance, reliability, and Absolute Safety of the equipment and systems. The Multi-Tech must perform electrical and mechanical installations, read PLC programs, reset faults, and identify root causes of failures. Must be able to lead and develop the skills of other members of the team.

Essential Functions:

• Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
• Comply with all GMP requirements.
• Dismantling equipment, removing defective parts and reassembling without supervision.
• Using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install equipment or systems.
• Use the electronic work order system to plan, execute, and record corrective actions with as much detail as possible.
• Identify and install upgrades, improvements, or substitute parts and components.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and installations.
• Perform repairs and fabrications utilizing lathes, milling machines, saws, and drill presses.
• Perform quality welding repairs utilizing Mig, Tig, and stick welding equipment.
• Possess a thorough understanding of ladder logic and be skilled at reading and evaluating PLC logic programs.
• Perform troubleshooting and configuration of Ethernet/IP Systems.
• Use advanced test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions.
• Design, fabrication, and installation of electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Train the operations of new and existing equipment and systems to others and develop their skills and understanding of the equipment.
• Follow complex procedures, do preventative maintenance and find hidden defects and correct, also update equipment.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and record root causes of failure. Identify recurring issues and document fixes for future reference.
• Perform mathematical calculations that assist in fabrication and evaluation of performance of equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be a team-oriented person that can work well with others.
• Ability to troubleshoot Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical equipment independently, utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting trees.
• Ability to read and understand PLC ladder logic programs. Aptitude to develop skills in, or prior experience with, writing PLC programs a plus.
• Have knowledge of computer and network systems.
• Have a desire and ability to attain further education in maintenance functions that apply to the plant.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing systems.
• Be willing to train operations and maintenance personnel.
• Be proficient in troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and have good communication with Maintenance and Operations Leadership.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, and ability to learn the various computer programs owned by the company.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must document all work with as much detail as possible.
• Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures, and practices.
• May be required to work around energized, moving, or rotating production equipment.
• Must have knowledge in, and ability to attain certification in:
  • Lock Out Tag Out
  • Use of Power Industrial Trucks (PIT)
  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash

Education:

High School or equivalent as a minimum with a technical school degree in advanced electronics and PLC programming preferred. Relevant experience may be considered for substitution of technical degree.
