Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group seeks an energetic Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to join our team. This role requires hands-on leadership in hotel maintenance, ensuring preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and supervising the maintenance staff.

The ideal candidate has experience in hotel maintenance, strong technical knowledge, and is committed to safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary preferred.
• At least 1 year in a hotel maintenance position; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Experienced Mechanical Technician.
• Ensure maintenance functions including preventative maintenance follow brand standards for compliance and safety.
• Performs preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Maintains pool and spa maintenance per health regulations and brand standards.
• Leads preventive and general maintenance programs; schedules maintenance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experienced Mechanical Technician
• Ensure that all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are following company and
• brand standards for compliance and safety
• Ensures fulfillment of preventative maintenance programs o brand standards including equipment, heating
• and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
• Completes preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public space
• Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to brand standards and health department regulations
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner.
• Delegate, supervise, and participate in all preventive and general maintenance programs by maintaining a room's maintenance strategy and scheduling preventive maintenance
• Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns
• Educated hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in a hotel maintenance position, supervisory role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multi-task
• Team player
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests
