Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Maintenance Supervisor to join our hotel team on a full-time, on-site basis. The role focuses on maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems while leading preventive maintenance and safety programs.

The incumbent will oversee maintenance staff, ensure guest rooms and public areas meet standards, and assist other departments with requests. A strong emphasis on safety, guest satisfaction, and reliable operations is required.

Qualifications

• High School education required; post-secondary preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in hotel maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance, follow brand standards and safety guidelines.
• Fulfill preventative maintenance programs on equipment, heating, cooling, and related systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Maintain pool and spa maintenance per brand standards and health regulations.
• Perform repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work safely and neatly.
• Supervise and participate in preventive and general maintenance programs.
• Assist other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving concerns.
• Educate hotel staff on emergency procedures and safety precautions.
• Act as Manager on Duty when required.
• Perform other duties to meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are following company and
• brand standards for compliance and safety
• Ensures fulfillment of preventative maintenance programs o brand standards including equipment, heating
• and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
• Completes preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public space
• Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to brand standards and health department regulations
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner.
• Delegate, supervise, and participate in all preventive and general maintenance programs by maintaining a room's maintenance strategy and scheduling preventive maintenance
• Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns
• Educated hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in a hotel maintenance position, supervisory role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
