Job summary

Job Description:

Provides lead-level support for a team performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work across campus facilities. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and minor construction tasks on building systems and structural components while coordinating work activities and supporting operational readiness.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Valid driver’s license (Maryland Class C or equivalent).
  • EPA or environmental certifications may be required depending on assignment (e.g., CFC handling).
  • Asbestos awareness or related training may be required.
  • OSHA safety training preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job. Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver’s license may be required. Candidates selected for employment may be required to be trained to work with asbestos. Employees in this job class assigned to work with equipment containing CFC refrigerants must achieve and maintain valid certification in accordance with federal law.
  • This position is an essential function/employee position. Employees in this classification will be required to report to work or remain at work during inclement weather and/or other campus events or emergencies.
