Job summary

Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community in Media, PA, seeks a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facility Operations Team. You will perform interior and exterior repairs and help keep buildings, grounds and systems in top condition.

Under the Facility Operations Manager, you will handle scheduled and on-call repairs, assist with fire alarm tests and drills, maintain tools and supplies, and support safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine interest in working for the elderly.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and speak English.
• Ability to operate hand tools and read common measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
• Assist in fire alarm tests and participate in drills and safety activities.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks of building, grounds and facilities.
• Assist inspectors and contractors with testing, inspecting and repairs of equipment and systems.
• Requisition supplies and manage inventory; report needs to Facility Operations.
• Maintain tools and storage areas and ensure neat, orderly workspaces.
• Assist with snow removal as needed (shoveling, plowing, salting).
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
