The Hearth at Drexel is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our retirement community in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The role involves repairing and maintaining the facility, furniture, windows, doors, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure, with duties including driver tasks and resident assistance as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, a PA driver’s license, and about two years of related experience. Benefits include industry-leading PTO and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Two years’ experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the community using hand and power tools.
• Repair and maintain wooden and metal structures and furniture.
• Repair and adjust metal windows, doors, and hinges; oil moving parts as required.
• Demo and install cabinets, water heaters, and disposals as needed.
• Perform vehicle checks, deliver vehicles for inspections and repairs.
• Assist residents with mobility and transportation to medical facilities as needed.
• Complete billing forms for medical transportation charges.
• Ensure occupants are secured with belts and assistive devices.
