You will learn all aspects of the trade under an experienced mechanic, performing repairs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, welding, machining, and metal fabrication on equipment and facility systems.

This role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions, adhering to all safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintenance on hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with yard managers for repairs
• Maintain accurate work records
• Keep facilities clean and organized
• Manage spare parts inventory
• Be available for after-hours and emergency calls
• Follow safety and environmental procedures

Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technical degree preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical repairs, welding, and industrial drives
• Experience in scrap metal or industrial environments preferred
• Willingness to work outdoors
• Experience with industrial equipment is a plus
• Willing to pass drug, physical, and background checks
