Job Description

Serioplast, a global leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician for our plants in Mount Jackson, Virginia.

Note: The selection process will commence in summer 2025.

What will you do?

• Ensure production continuity by maintaining machines, equipment, and facilities in compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
• Install and set up machines and equipment such as compressors, air conditioning units, dryers, leak testers, cameras, and palletizers.
• Conduct regular inspections, monitor parameters, detect and replace worn parts, and coordinate with suppliers for spare parts or technical support.
• Perform mechanical setup and regulation of molds.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per the maintenance plan.
• Respond to breakdowns and failures with emergency repairs to restore functionality.
• Support external suppliers during inspections and maintenance activities.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities for equipment lifecycle management.
• Manage workshop operations, fabricate mechanical parts, and utilize workshop tools.
• Assist the Technical Manager with improvement projects related to machinery, equipment, molds, and processes.

What are we looking for?

• Strong knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with plastic molding technologies (EBM, SBM, IM).
• Understanding of WCM standards.
• Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
