Job summary

Ergon is seeking a Mechanic in Richland, MS to maintain tractors and trailers, perform inspections, and keep the shop safe. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits with opportunities for overtime and on-call duties as part of the shift schedule.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, one year of maintenance/repair experience preferred, and tools of their own. CDL with HazMat & Tank endorsements is a plus. EEO/AAP employer, pre-employment checks apply.

Job description

This is a Mechanic Position for contract and common carrier with a logistics / trucking company location in Richland, MS. Reports to Shop Foreman. Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintaining tractors and trailers; Performing inspections on equipment; Keeping shop areas safe and clean; Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED; Good communication skills; Preference of 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair; Air brake certified; Must have own tools. Desired: Tank experience; CDL with HAZMAT & Tank Endorsements; Knowledge of newer diesel and emission treatment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
