Ergon, Inc. in Richland, MS is seeking a full-time Mechanic for a contract role supporting our logistics operations. You will maintain tractors and trailers, perform inspections, and keep shop areas safe and clean.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, good communication skills, and about one year of maintenance/repair experience. Air brake certification and his own tools are required. Desirable: Tank experience, CDL with HAZMAT and Tank endorsements, and knowledge of diesel/emission

Job description

This is a Mechanic Position for contract and common carrier with a logistics / trucking company location in Richland, MS. Reports to Shop Foreman. Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintaining tractors and trailers; Performing inspections on equipment; Keeping shop areas safe and clean; Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED; Good communication skills; Preference of 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair; Air brake certified; Must have own tools. Desired: Tank experience; CDL with HAZMAT & Tank Endorsements; Knowledge of newer diesel and emission treatment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
