Job summary

Ergon Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a mechanic for a contract and full-time position within our logistics team. You will maintain tractors and trailers, perform inspections, and keep shop areas safe and organized.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, good communication skills, and about 1 year of maintenance and repair experience. Air brake certification and owning your own tools are preferred; Tank and HAZMAT endorsements are desirable.

This is a Mechanic Position for contract and common carrier with a logistics / trucking company location in Houston, TX. Reports to Shop Foreman. Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintaining tractors and trailers; Performing inspections on equipment; Keeping shop areas safe and clean; Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED; Good communication skills; Preference of 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair; Air brake certified; Must have own tools. Desired: Tank experience; CDL with HAZMAT & Tank Endorsements; Knowledge of newer diesel and emission treatment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
