Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Mascot, Tennessee, for safe repair and preventive maintenance of rock crusher machines and other fixed plant equipment at our operating sites. You will handle stationary and mobile equipment, perform inspections, and participate in daily plant operations.

The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated, with at least 1 year of welding/maintenance experience and the ability to work 7AM–4PM with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; welding experience preferred.
• 1 year of welding/maintenance experience; mining industry experience is a plus.
• Welding certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, welding, greasing, and shop/processing duties.
• Repair and maintain stationary and mobile equipment in the plant.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
• Complete paperwork to maintain equipment and run the plant per standards.
• Aide training of co-workers and assist supervisor with duties.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work area.
