Job summary

Martin Marietta’s Fountain Quarry is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to safely repair and maintain plant equipment, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes while supporting mobile equipment. This role emphasizes preventative maintenance and safe, efficient operation of our processing lines.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of welding and maintenance experience, and mining industry exposure is preferred. Welding certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities.
• At least 1 year of experience in welding and maintenance.
• Mining industry experience is preferred.
• Welding certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery.
• Repair and maintain stationary and mobile equipment including conveyors, shakers, pumps and gearboxes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure timely completion.
• Use electrical and pressure testing equipment in safety standards.
• Complete paperwork to maintain equipment and plant operations.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
