Job summary
Valmont Industries, Inc. in Farmington, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a variety of industrial maintenance tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
You will help minimize downtime, install and align equipment, diagnose issues, and complete routine maintenance to support production. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, with skills in electrical schematics, blueprints, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics,
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with welding on steel and aluminum (arc & wire feed).
- Familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, and basic machine tools.
Responsibilities
- Seek opportunities for efficiencies and improvements within the maintenance department.
- Perform maintenance tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime.
- Use tools and equipment across trades ( carpentry, electrical, plumbing, electronics, machining, welding).
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Install and align new equipment; diagnose, dismantle, repair, reassemble and adjust machinery.
