Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in South Bend, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our distribution center team. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, and utility systems to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree required.
2-year vocational certificate in mechanical or electrical applications preferred.
3–5 years of experience in maintenance.
Welding, burning, and cutting experience.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and PLC controls.
Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage).
Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
Good safety awareness.
Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 75 lbs.
Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

Adhere to OSHA safety standards including LOTO and safe work practices.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyors; follow PM standards.
Accurately report spare parts inventory and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
Work with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
Take on other duties as needed to support the DC’s operations.
