Job summary

White Castle is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep bakery production equipment running smoothly across systems like proofer, oven, cooling tunnel, and spiral freezer. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

You'll troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and PLC issues, perform equipment disassembly/assembly, and help design fixes. The company offers weekly pay, extensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience preferred.
Experience/education in refrigeration, electrical and programmable controls, 480V, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Knowledge of safe lifting, lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair production equipment including proofer, oven, cooling tunnel, spiral freezer and support systems.
Perform preventive maintenance during production and non-production hours.
Maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems and diagnose PLC issues.
Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked.
Assemble/disassemble production equipment and fabricate solutions as needed.
Follow all safety policies and participate in training.
