Job summary
Aerotek in DeKalb, IL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support warehouse and production equipment on 2nd or 3rd shift. You will assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and electrical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment, while enforcing safety standards.
The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to read blueprints and ladder logic.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and high-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, maintain, repair, and overhaul warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Inspect electrical components, motors, panels, and wiring to identify issues.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, transformers, and control circuits.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards.
- Coordinate with supervision on inventory and capital projects.
