Job summary

Gopher Resource is seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics for 6pm-6am shifts with a rotating 4 on/4 off schedule. All new hires start on the Monday-Friday day shift for New Hire Training before moving to the regular schedule.

Starting pay is $45.38/hour plus a $0.80 per hour night shift differential and a $10,000 signing bonus. Excellent benefits include healthcare, 401k with company match, paid time off, and tuition/gym reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Heavy industrial experience in welding/fabrication; hydraulics; pneumatics; blueprint or schematic reading; predictive maintenance (PdM) and preventative maintenance (PM); pumps; mechanical drives; and material handling equipment.
• Passing of all pre-employment testing including mechanical efficiency test, criminal background check, employment and academic verifications, drug screen and physical.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to read safety instructions, understand work directions, and complete required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Use hand tools, welding equipment, pneumatic and/or electric tools and precision measuring tools to make repairs or replacements.
• Repair or replace pumps, fans, gearboxes, piping, fabrication, conveyors and large rotating equipment.

We have 2 openings for Industrial Maintenance Mechanic on the 6pm-6am shift and rotating 4 on/4 off schedule. All new hires initially start on the Monday-Friday day shift to participate in New Hire Training. Following this training period, mechanics are assigned to their regular work schedule.

Job Overview

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will troubleshoot, repair and preform preventative maintenance (PM) on plant equipment and machinery. This position uses hand tools, welding equipment, pneumatic and/or electric tools and precision measuring tools to make repairs or replace equipment. Equipment repairs/replacements include but are not limited to pumps, fans, gearboxes, piping, fabrication, conveyors, and large rotating equipment. All offers are contingent upon subsequent pre-employment testing that includes background check, drug screen, and clinic physical.

• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Required to wear respiratory protection up to 12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation
