Job summary

Polar Field Services, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians for seasonal work in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

These technicians will keep mission-critical equipment and facilities running in the Arctic, supporting world-class science in one of the most remote environments on Earth. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and facilities upkeep, along with proficiency in diagnostic software and MS Office, and the ability to operate polar vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years maintaining tracked heavy-duty equipment.
• 5+ years facilities maintenance (welding/fabrication).
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, tools, and Microsoft Office
• Able to drive trucks, snowmobiles, and other polar vehicles
• Meet physical demands (confined spaces, extended standing, extreme cold)
• Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and required physical/dental exams
