Job description

Overview

In this role, the successful applicant must be proficient in performing repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting on machinery, mechanical equipment, motors, pumps, and production machines. This includes using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.

The role requires working in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications. The applicant will need to observe and listen to machinery, operating mechanics, and equipment during troubleshooting. Additionally, small steel fabrication projects such as repairing and fabricating stairs and platforms will be required.

The applicant must be able to work independently and within a team environment, while adhering to department and company procedures.

Flexibility to work overtime, support emergency situations, and contribute to department goals is essential.

Qualifications

• Required: HS Diploma or GED, or 2+ years of related technical experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical/hydraulic experience in industrial and/or commercial environments.

• Preferred: Mechanical training certificates, trade/technical school experience.

Skills

• Proficiency with basic tools and their applications.
• Experience with rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools for making and repairing parts and equipment.
