Job summary

Leggett & Platt in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 to cover night and day shifts. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs to keep heavy machinery and production lines running smoothly in a fast-paced plant environment.

Expect to work on conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems with strict lockout/tagout safety. Forklift operation and strong teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 24 months of maintenance experience.
• Drug testing: 7 Panel.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Read, write and count correctly; basic math and computer skills.
• Adhere to safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Responsibilities

• Timely repairs and diagnostics of machinery to minimize downtime.
• Maintenance of machinery, conveyors, belts, gears, chains, and sprockets.
• Preventative maintenance and inspection tasks on equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and document results.
• Complete daily work logs and maintenance forms; maintain clean work areas.

Job Title:Maintenance Mechanic

Mechanic Level 2

Two for 3rd shift - 9pm-7am

One for 2nd shift - 12pm-10pm

10 Hour shifts per day up to 6 days per week

Responsibilities

• Timely repairs
• Parts and machine assembly
• Maintenance of machinery to reduce and eliminate downtime
• Assist in keeping equipment operational
• Preventative maintenance and inspection tasks
• Complete facility work orders
• Maintain maximum reliability and functionality
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery equipment, physical structures, pipes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot equipment problems
• Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance
• Construction and renovation work when necessary
• Complete daily work logs and maintenance forms
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure equipment functions correctly after repairs
