Job summary

The Mosaic Company in Florida is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on plant and mine equipment. You will use hand tools, torches, welding gear and precision measuring tools in a safe, efficient manner and follow CMMS work orders.

Responsibilities include documenting work in CMMS, participating in safety meetings, and complying with LOTO, PPE and hazardous materials procedures while supporting continuous operations across our facilities.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship program
• Phosphate industry experience preferred
• Must be able to operate mobile equipment including boom truck, aerial lift and forklift
• Must be able to pass pre-hire exams and ongoing training; PPE/LOTO/Safe Work procedures
• Ability to use hand tools, torches and welding equipment in a safe and expedient manner

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant or mine equipment and perform preventative maintenance
• Input CMMS work requests and update records based on defects or work performed
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space and Hazardous Work
• Participate in Pre Job Safety Meetings and safety trainings
• Work in a heavy industrial environment and ensure safe operations
