Job summary

The Mosaic Company in Riverview, FL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on plant and mine equipment, using hand tools, torches, welding gear, and precision measuring tools in a safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship program required
• Phosphate industry experience preferred
• Basic computer skills needed
• Good organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team setting
• Must be able to train and operate mobile equipment including boom truck, aerial man lift and forklift
• Ability to climb stairs and work at various heights
• Must be able to read, write and understand basic English

Responsibilities

• Repair machinery and equipment in accordance with established job plans
• Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery and equipment
• Repair machinery and equipment on an emergency or “break-in” basis
• Lubricates / PM’s equipment and machinery
• Operate overhead cranes and assist with rigging for lifts
• Be vigilant of issues affecting coworkers’ safety and environment
• Report issues that could impact safety or environment
