The Arkema Group in Mobile, AL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support safe, reliable plant operation through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. Reporting to the Shift Leader, you will work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and uphold safety standards.
Requirements include a high school diploma, 5 years of related experience or 2 years of college/trade school, reading schematics, CMMS software proficiency, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

The Maintenance Mechanic reporting to the Shift leader plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. Through skilled troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and timely repairs, the jobholder supports uninterrupted production, reduces downtime and upholds compliance and safety standards. The mechanic contributes to continuous improvement efforts and supports rigorous safety, environmental and regulatory standards to strengthen plant reliability and performance. The position is located in a chemical manufacturing facility with all the inherent risks. Weekend and on-call after-hours support will occassionally be required. Activities include:
