Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of related maintenance experience OR 2 years of college/trade school in a related field.
• Valid driver\'s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the Maintenance Department multi-craft workforce.
• Attend daily maintenance execution meetings and safety toolbox discussions.
• Complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production equipment.
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Diagnose equipment issues using observation, testing instruments, and precision measuring tools.
• Remove and replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, rules, and other measuring devices.
• Adjust and align equipment using hand tools and precision instruments.
• Minimize downtime by communicating equipment issues and monitoring performance.
• Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment and tools.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following all HSE requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations, job hazard analyses, audits, and corrective action activities.
• Provide after-hours and on-call support as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. Through skilled troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs, this position supports uninterrupted production, reduces downtime, and maintains compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience, OR
• 2 years of college/trade school in a related field.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. 1-792aba

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of industrial maintenance practices and equipment.
• Knowledge of plant safety principles and power tool operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with CMMS and PI systems.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
