Arkema in Ashland, Ohio, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance activities across electrical and mechanical systems. The role covers troubleshooting, installation, repair, calibration of process control equipment, and adherence to NFPA/ISA standards.
A progression path may start in I/E or mechanical with increasing competency. The position emphasizes safety leadership, reliability improvements, and collaboration with plant operations to minimize production impacts.
This highly skilled job exists to manage a broad spectrum of maintenance activities – both I/E and Mechanical. This position provides troubleshooting, installing, repair, and replacement of equipment as needed to keep the plant operational. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant systems—including process controls, analyzers, motors, and distributed control systems (DCS/PLC)—in accordance with regulatory requirements and plant safety standards. Depending on the needs of the plant, a new employee who does not have full competency will be in a progression plan that could start with I/E or mechanical. However, as the employee progresses it will include increasing amounts of I/E and mechanical skills ending in a Maintenance Technician who is fully capable in all aspects.
Plan and direct procurement of repair parts and material for project Maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instrumentation devices for process equipment such as transmitters, flow meters, pressure/temperature sensors, level instruments, and control valves
