Principal Duties: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Foreman, the Industrial Maintenance Technician - is responsible for the following:

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtractions, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals and fractions.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve problems effectively. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, colleagues, community members, staff and students. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. Sufficient physical strength and ability to perform manual labor and to work from ladders and scaffolding. Must be in excellent physical condition. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus while working with equipment, computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc.

Salary and Benefits:
Hourly Rate:$24.22 entry rate, $30.74 with Journeyman License or equivalent certification.
Salary and benefits in accordance with the work agreement with the Cedar Rapids Custodial & Maintenance Employee Association, including but not limited to a healthcare package, paid vacation, IPERS retirement program, etc.
