Job summary

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. We are seeking a skilled technician to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment at our Oberlin, OH facility.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform repairs, and ensure machines like die cutters, presses, inserters, and bindery equipment operate reliably. Responsibilities include performing precise adjustments, reading technical drawings and diagrams, and fabricating replacement

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery
• Advanced knowledge of machine control boards to trace malfunctions and distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity
• Ability to perform precise measurements of air and fluid pressure and flow
• Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications
• Advanced knowledge of construction and assembly techniques to manufacture replacement parts and assemble devices
• Knowledge of geometry and shop mathematics for dimensional calculations

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization's production equipment
• Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures
• Repair and maintain machinery per diagrams and specifications including die cutters, presses, inserters, folders, conveyors, and bindery equipment using hand and power tools
• May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or grinders
