Collins Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III for the 1st shift, onsite in Manchester, IA. You will perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and related systems, troubleshoot issues, and document activities according to SOPs.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience, knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics/electronics, and adherence to safety standards. U.S. citizenship is required for access to certain systems.

What You Will Do

• Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.

• Trouble shoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems on equipment.

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plumbing.

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.

• Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.

• Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.

• Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.

• Working with chemicals and maintaining Hazardous Waste manifests.

• Complies with SOP’s (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications, and safety policies.

• May perform other duties as assigned

• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.

• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

• Maintenance Management System (Enfor) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.

• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Knowledge in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

• Knowledge in pumps, motors, valve, and actuator operation.
